Environmental sensitivity begins in our own backyard. We are incorporating the latest advances in membrane bio-reactors for our Burton facility wastewater recycling. Once this development is complete, coupled with 500,000 litres of rain water storage, we expect to change from a net water user, to be able to contribute water to the renown Salisbury Wetlands system for environmental benefit and wider community reuse.
We are working together with other organisations to find an Australian solution to use renewable energy for desalination and water recycling.
Our newest venture is working with Sun Water and Penrice in reusing, otherwise wastewater and salts from Coal Seam Gas production for beneficial purposes.
Osmoflo has an ongoing commitment to protect the environment. To comply with this responsibility, processes are aimed to prevent or minimise potential adverse environmental impacts arising for our work activities. The Osmoflo Board of Directors and General Managers establish their commitment towards the implementation of an Environmental Management System under the SAI Global OHS company program.
