Projects Under Construction

  • Caltex - Kurnell oil refinery

Osmoflo is providing financing, technology and operational know how that will enable effluent from the Cronulla Sewerage Treatment Plant to be further treated and reused for industrial process at the Caltex Refinery.

The new Kurnell Recycled Water Plant will produce 6 ML/d of high quality water for use on-site. This is a 15 year Build Own Operate contract.

  • Chevron - Gorgon LNG Project

Osmoflo won 5 desalination projects for the Gorgon, Barrow Island LNG processing plant. Three plants have been delivered.

Currently in the build and testing phases are two permanent plants; a 2.1 ML/day sea water reverse osmosis plant and a 1 ML/day demineralisation plant.

  • Nyrstar - Port Pirie Smelter

Providing an additional water source and environmental benefits to the community, this water treatment plant reuses industrial process waste water on-site to produce 1.6 ML/day of desalinated water for process use, as well as use by the Port Pirie Council for irrigation purposes.

This initiative saves the equivalent of 235 Olympic size swimming pools of water being taken from the River Murray.

  • Verge Energy - Muja Power Station

10 ML/day reverse osmosis desalination plant to reduce salinity from 2,000mg/l TDS to between 45 - 65 mg/l TDS.

Verve Energy's power station source water is extracted from a neigbouring coal mine for much of its process water needs. The water supply has become increasingly saline, causing operational problems for process and cooling water.

Osmoflo won this contract on the strength of its ability to provide a design that met technical requirements and deliver it within a very tight manufacturing deadline.
