Challenge Problems with a holding tank came close to delaying the commissioning of the new Uranquinty Power Station. Demineralised water within the tank intended for commissioning purposes needed to be discharged and there was no way an exisiting desalination plant on-site could produce the volumes required by constructors Bilfinger Berger if commissioning deadlines were to be achieved.

Solution Osmoflo came to the rescue by providing a reverse osmosis plant on a short-term rental with skid mounted equipment on site and fully operational within one week of the request being received. Coupled to a non-regenerative mixed bed resin (NRMB) ion exchange vessel, the plant delivered 600kL/d of demineralised grade water to the appropriate quality, for three days, enabling commissioning to continue on schedule.

Result As a result of Osmoflo's response, Bilfinger Berger was able to commission the Uranquinty project on schedule. Osmoflo has a number of its units available for rental purposes.
